Information for Parents
In 2019 Camp Kivita is proud to be in its eleventh year of operation. Each summer at Camp Kivita has been truly magical as we create incredible new memories, and friendships are celebrated. We are so thankful that you have entrusted your children to us to share in our “home away from home” and are part of our growing Camp Kivita family.

Our Program
Camp Kivita, through its partnership with Camp Wenonah offers a wide array of activities at Camp Wenonah taught by full-time, qualified instructors. Counselors travel with their campers to all activities to ensure that they participate with friends, have fun and experience the thrill of achievement. Campers are strongly encouraged to participate in all activities. We know that some campers, especially younger ones may shy away from trying new activities, but by placement of regular cabin mates, guided by their counselors and by using qualified instructors ready to encourage and teach them, children are primed to learn new skills and interests, and have new experiences that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Free time during each day with program options allow children to spend more time and pursue those activities that they most enjoy and want to further develop skills. Medical & Health Information:
At Camp Kivita, health and safety is of paramount importance. In order to attend camp, all campers require sign-off by their primary transplant physician and pre-screening by our camp medical team.
Camp Wenonah has a fully stocked modern health centre facility. In addition to Camp Wenonah nursing staff, Camp Kivita has its own dedicated camp doctor attend camp, as well as team of 8-10 Registered Nurses available 24 hours a day during the Camp session, at an approximate ratio of nurse: camper of 1:8 for all medication and medical care needs. The Health Centre underwent a significant expansion in 2007, giving Wenonah a first class health and wellness facility.
Camp Wenonah is a short drive to South Muskoka Hospital in Bracebridge and within a 30 minute drive to Orillia Soldiers Hospital where our campers requiring dialysis go during camp. http://www.osmh.on.ca/welcometoosmh.aspx
